To duplicate an entire event (automatically copying all owners, editors, calendar settings, etc.), click the Duplicate button at the bottom of the Event Summary screen.
If you just added the event, the Event Summary screen is the last screen that the Event Wizard displays. If you would like to duplicate an event you added earlier, go to My Alerts, My Events. Click the Information icon next to the event you wish to duplicate. On the event description screen displayed, click Edit Event. Then, use the numbered links at the bottom of the Event Wizard screen to go directly to the Event Summary screen. Again, this is always the last screen in the Event Wizard.
On the Event Duplication screen, you can change the following items:
Event type: Select the type of the duplicate event. Your options are event and notice. For a description of the difference between an event and a notice, please read What is an Event?
Start time: Enter the date and time at which the new event will begin. If you use the provided clock icon to select the time, note that time defaults to AM. Therefore, be sure to click on PM for evening events.
End time: Enter the date and time at which the new event will end.
Enter building for event: Enter the name of the campus building at which you plan to hold the event. (If this event is off campus, leave this field blank.) Note that the building selection field uses a dynamic list display.
Enter off campus location: Enter the location at which your off campus event will be held. (If this event is on campus, leave this field blank.)
Enter room: Enter the room in which you plan to hold the event. (If this event is off campus, leave this field blank.)
Note that these are the ONLY items that you can change when you use the Duplicate button to duplicate an event. If you need to change other items, like the event title or description, the owners and editors of the event, the event type, the calendar type, the digest text or posting options, the associated interests, etc., please return to the Event Summary screen and click the Wizard Duplicate button to duplicate this event.
If you make a mistake, click the Reset button to clear this form and begin again.
After entering all desired changes, click Submit.
