Occasionally, you may need to directly contact (via phone or email) the CNAV support staff on your campus for assistance. Most often, this occurs when a user forgets her password. Before the Helpdesk operator can reset your password, she needs to be sure that you really are the person you claim to be. To verify this, you may be asked to answer a series of simple security questions. Your answers must match the answers you've recorded in CNAV.
Clicking My Place, My Settings, My Security Questions allows you to record your answers to the standard security questions that Helpdesk operators use to verify your identity. These questions are defined by your institution. Some commonly used security questions are:
Mother's birth name (i.e. maiden name)?
Family pet's name?
Your place of birth?
