Clicking Find It Now, Groups, Multiple Condition Search allows you to search for groups by a combination of criteria including owner, member(s), and user realm. (Under user realm, you can limit your search to groups accessible to everyone, groups accessible only to on-campus CNAV community members, or groups accessible to a specific user realm such as Undergraduate Student, Employee, or Faculty.)
You can enter data into one, some, or all of these fields:
Search by owner: Use this option to list only groups that belong to the specified owner. This field uses a dynamic list display. As you begin typing characters, CNAV will dynamically display all owners whose names begin with those characters in the display field to the right of the entry field. The default value (blank) returns groups belonging to any owner.
Search by member: Use this option to list only groups having the specified member. This field uses a dynamic list display. As you begin typing characters, CNAV will dynamically display all members whose names begin with those characters in the display field to the right of the entry field. The default value (blank) returns groups having any member.
Search group: Use this drop-down list to restrict the search for owners and members that is used by the dynamic list displays. You can restrict your search to only on-campus CNAV users, or to members of the selected user realm (such as Undergraduate Student, Employee, or Faculty). By default, CNAV includes only on-campus CNAV users in the search.
Search by group name or description: Use this option to search for those groups having the specified string within the name or description fields. When entering a partial name or description, be sure to include a wild card.
Once you have entered all criteria by which you wish to search, click Submit to execute the search.
To clear all selected values and begin a new search, click Reset.
To abandon your search and return to the Group search screen, click Back.
