Clicking Find It Now, News, Multiple Condition Search allows you to search for news items using many different fields/criteria. You can enter data into one, some, or all of these fields:
Date range: Use this option to limit your search to news added to CNAV before, after, or within certain dates. For example, selecting a start date of 01/01/2000 and an end date of 01/02/2000 will produce a list of news items added from January 1, 2000 to February 1, 2000. Note that you must specify a 4-digit year. Also note that the default start date is always today's date; the default end date is one month in the future. To search without regard to dates, tick "Do not use date range".
Interest selection: Use this option to limit the news items returned to those that match your logged interests to the specified degree. By default, CNAV ignores interests in executing the search.
News I own: Use this option to limit your search to news items that you entered into CNAV or for which you are listed as part of the owner group. By default, CNAV ignores ownership in executing the search.
News desks: Use this option to limit your search to news items posted to one or more specific news desks. For example, if you are searching for news about a campus organization, you would naturally select the Campus news desk from the list provided. To select more than one news desk, control-click. If you don't specify a news desk, CNAV returns events posted to all news desk.
Once you have entered all criteria by which you wish to search, click Submit to execute the search.
To clear all selected values and begin a new search, click Reset.
To abandon your search and return to the previous screen, click Back.
