To duplicate an entire news item (automatically copying all owners, editors, news desk settings, etc.), click the Duplicate button at the bottom of the News Summary screen.
If you just added the news item, the News Summary screen is the last screen that the News Wizard displays. If you would like to duplicate a news item you added earlier, use Find It Now, News to locate the news item. Click the Information icon next to the news item you wish to duplicate. On the news description screen displayed, click Edit News. Then, use the numbered links at the bottom of the News Wizard screen to go directly to the News Summary screen. (Again, this is always the last screen in the News Wizard.)
On the News Duplication screen, you can change the following items:
Start time: Enter the date and time at which you want this news article to appear on the Cool Stuff page. If you use the provided clock icon to select the time, note that time defaults to AM.
End time: Enter the date and time at which you want this news item to disappear from the Cool Stuff page.
News headline: Enter the headline as you wish it to appear on the Cool Stuff page.
News description: Enter a short description of the information covered in this news item.
Note that these are the ONLY items that you can change when you use the Duplicate button to duplicate a news item. If you need to change other items, like the owners and editors, the news type, the news desk, the digest text or posting options, the associated interests, etc., please return to the News Summary screen and click the Wizard Duplicate button to duplicate this event.
If you make a mistake, click the Reset button to clear this form and begin again.
After entering all desired changes, click Submit.
