Only the inventory system administrator can create a new speed screen. To create a new speed screen, click on Campus Tools, Inventory Tools, Speed Screens. On the Speed Screens display, click New.
CNAV displays the Speed Screens definition screen. To create a new speed screen, enter the following fields:
Screen number: Assign a number to the speed screen to be created. (This number is used internally and does not display on the actual screen.)
Screen name: Enter a name for the speed screen you are creating. This name will display in the drop-down list next to Insert Inventory Record in the Worker Tools.
Screen description: Enter a short, but useful, description of how this particular speed screen will be used.
Shareable? Tick this checkbox if you wish to make this speed screen available to workers for other inventories.
Field list: Place a tick in the checkbox next to each field that you want to display in the speed screen that you are creating. You can speed up the selection processing using the following buttons:
Check all: Selects all fields.
Uncheck all: Deselects all fields.
Toggle all: Reverses the current selection.
Show mode/Highlight mode: Select one of these option buttons to tell CNAV how you want the new speed screen to display. In show mode, CNAV displays only the selected fields when this speed screen is selected. In highlight mode, CNAV displays all fields, but highlights the selected fields.
After entering appropriate values in all fields, click Submit. CNAV displays the listing of speed screens. Your new speed screen should appear on this list.
