Clicking CNAV Tools, Groups, Global Admin Group Mgr allows you to access a list of CNAV groups containing the phrase "Admin". In effect, this provides you with a list of the groups that define the administrators for the various components of CNAV. For example, this tool is where you would go to find out which group defined the Helpdesk Administrator(s).
For each group listed on this screen, CNAV provides the following information:
Name: This column lists the names of the initialization variables (Init Variables) with which the Admin groups are currently associated. To edit the Init Variable definition, click the hyperlinked Name.
Description: This column describes the Init Variable with which each Admin group is associated.
Group ID: This column reports the group ID (sometimes called the entity ID) of each Admin group.
Group name: This column lists the actual Admin groups, by name.
Note that you can NOT use this screen to edit the Admin groups listed. To edit an Admin. group, select CNAV Tools, Groups, Group Maint. Tool.) You can, however, use this screen to access the Edit Variable screen and then edit the initialization variable associated with an Admin group.
Warning:
The Edit Variable screen is part of the Init Variables Programmer Tool. Using this tool requires a detailed understanding of programming concepts and procedures that may include Unix, ColdFusion, database structures, SQL, and various CNAV internal processing techniques. We strongly advise that you do not use this tool without first consulting a CNAV Systems, Inc. support engineer.
