Happening Type Maintenance

Clicking CNAV Tools, Maintenance, Calendar Maintenance, Happening Type Maintenance allows you to maintain the available happening types. A "happening" type identifies the type of an event or notice.  

From this screen, you can perform the following tasks:

The happening types that you maintain with this tool are the types that will display when you are asked to select a Happening type during the process of adding an event.

 

Adding a new happening type

To add a new happening type, click Add. CNAV displays the Happening Type Maintenance screen.  On that screen, enter the following information:

After entering all required fields, click Submit. Once you add a new happening type, you can use the Add Calendar link to associate this new happening type with one or more campus calendar(s).

 

Modifying an existing happening type

To modify an existing happening type, click the Edit icon on the table line corresponding to the happening type you wish to modify.  Note that you cannot modify the Happening code abbreviation. However, you can change the contents of the description field.

After making all desired changes, click Update. At this point, you can also add or remove calendar associations.

 

Deleting an existing happening type

To delete an existing happening type, simply click the Delete icon on the table line corresponding to the happening type you wish to delete.  Note that you cannot delete a happening type that is currently associated with any campus calendars. To remove such a happening type, you must first remove the calendar associations.
