Clicking Campus Tools, Events, Approve Events allows you to approve new events for addition to campus calendars and display on the Cool Stuff page.
Use of the Events Approval Tool is limited to those CNAV users designated as Event Administrators. If you are unable to access this tool and you feel that you need to do so in order to perform your job, please talk to your CNAV system administrator.
The Events Approval Tool screen lists the following information about each event awaiting approval: Title, Start date, End date, Time, Location, Room, Submitter, and Last modification date.
For each event, you can perform four tasks from this screen:
Approve the event: Tick the checkbox in the appropriate Approve column row.
View scheduling office notes: Mouse-over the Note icon in the appropriate Approve column row. If no notes were entered, a Not symbol appears over this icon. Where notes are entered, make sure that you view those notes before you approve the event to ensure that the required building, facilities, or supplies are available.
View the event information: Click the Information icon in the appropriate Approve column row to view detailed information about an event requiring approval.
Edit the event: Click the Edit icon in the appropriate Approve column row.
To approve all events listed, click Select All to tick the checkbox for every event. (If you hit this button accidentally, click De-Select All to untick the checkbox for every event.)
After marking all events you wish to approve, click Approve Event. CNAV will redisplay the Events Approval Tool screen, listing only those events still awaiting approval.
