Clicking Campus Tools, Helpdesk, Administrator Tools Utilities, Helpdesk Messaging System Auto Alert Messages allows you to view and/or modify the messages that CNAV sends automatically at helpdesk transition points. (A transition point occurs when either a helpdesk worker or ticket status is changed from an initial state to a terminal state. To set the flags that determine who the auto alert messages are sent to and when, click Campus Tools, Helpdesk, Administrator Tools Utilities, Helpdesk Messaging System Auto Alert Preferences.)
On this screen, you can do the following:
By default, CNAV assumes that you wish to apply these actions to active alert messages. To edit or delete inactive messages, click Edit Inactives to list the inactive auto alert messages.
Adding a new auto alert message
To add a new auto alert message, click New. CNAV displays the Auto Alert Messages edit screen. Select the Trigger condition at which you want CNAV to send the new message from the provided drop-down list and enter the Message text to be sent. Then, click Submit.
Editing an existing auto alert message
To edit an existing auto alert message, click the Edit icon next to the message to be changed. You can also Edit Selected messages or Edit All messages. CNAV displays the Auto Alert Messages edit screen. On this screen, you can view (but not change) the Trigger associated with this message. You can also change the following fields:
Message: Make any desired changes to the message text.
Activate?: Untick this checkbox to make this auto alert message inactive. (By default, all new auto alert messages are set to Active.)
After making all desired changes, click Submit.
Deleting an existing auto alert message
To delete an existing auto alert message, click the Delete icon next to the message to be removed. You can also Delete Selected messages or Delete All messages. CNAV will ask you to confirm the deletion. Click OK.
