On this screen, you can define or change the following information:
Room name: Enter the name that you wish to assign to this chat room. This is a required field.
Description: Enter a short, but useful, description of the purpose of this chat room.
Start date: Enter the date and time at which you wish this chat to begin. Use the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm am/pm. Note that you must specify a time as well as a date. In addition, you must specify a 4-digit year.
End date: Enter the date and time at which you wish this chat to end. Use the format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm am/pm. Again, you must specify a time and a 4-digit year.
Purge message frequency: Enter the number of days after which you want CNAV to purge posted messages. By default, messages are purged after 1 day.
Activate? Tick this checkbox to activate the newly created or modified chat room.
After entering or modifying all desired information, click Submit.
Note that this screen is displayed first by the Chat Room wizard when you opt to create a new chat room or edit an existing chat room. In that case, the Chat Room wizard proceeds to the Chat Room Owners screen. This screen also displays when a faculty member adds a chat room by editing a course. In that case, you do not need to specify owners or other values.
