Data Form Tools

Clicking My Campus, Human Resources, Data Form Tools allows you to process data form changes that users have submitted.

When a user requests a change to her data form information, the requested change is entered into a queue to be processed later.  Because the information changes must be made in the source ERPs (those computer systems from which CNAV obtains its information), CNAV does not immediately process those changes. Instead, the process is as follows:

  1. The user requests a data form information change.

  2. CNAV queues the change request.

  3. The employee responsible for inputting data form updates uses the Data Form Tools to review the requested changes.

  4. For each requested change, that employee does the following:

  5. CNAV resets the user data forms accordingly, removing the * that indicates that a change was requested but is still pending.

On the initial Data Form Tools screen, employees responsible for updating data form information can search for updates that need to be processed.  You can Search by requester or search by Data source.

To search by requester, enter the name of the person for whom you are searching for data form updates.  Note that this entry field uses a dynamic list display.  To limit the number of entries searched in the dynamic list, select a Search Group from the provided drop-down list before beginning to type the requester's name.

To search by data source, select the data source you wish to search from the provided drop-down list.  Note that you can limit the search results based on the Status of the change request. That is, you can search for only those changes that have already been Processed, were Denied, have been Ignored, or are still Pending.  After making your selections, click the View icon to view the search results.

Regardless of how you execute your search, CNAV displays the Data Form Tools search results screen. On that screen, you can review and process the requested changes.
