Clicking Campus Tools, Messaging, Discussion Board Tools displays the Discussion Board Admin Tool screen. From this screen, you can access any discussion board active within CNAV for the purpose of monitoring postings.
On this screen, CNAV provides the following information for each available discussion board:
Board title
Board type
Number of messages
You can limit this display to only discussion boards of a specific type by selecting the desired type from the provided drop-down list. For example, if you are responsible for monitoring course-related discussion boards, you will want to select Course in the Limit by board type field.
To actually enter a discussion board, simply click on the hyperlinked Board Title. Entering a discussion board in this manner enables you to delete any inappropriate messages you may discover. (Normally, only the person who has posted a message is permitted to delete that message from a discussion board. However, since users of this tool are responsible for monitoring the content of discussion boards, those users are authorized to delete any message posted by any user.)
