The Portfolio Generator allows students to easily create pre-defined portfolios appropriate for a variety of purposes. The Portfolio Outline Tool allows the department, Advising Office, or other interested party to pre-define what should go into each type of Portfolio. Basically, this tool allows you to create an outline that lets students know what type of information they need to include and to suggest the order in which that information would best be presented.
To create or edit a Portfolio Outline, click Campus Tools, Advising, Portfolio Tools, Portfolio Outline Tool. CNAV displays a new screen containing two panes. The left pane contains the Portfolio Outline Navigation. The right pane contains the Portfolio Outline Welcome screen.
From the left-hand pane, you can perform the following tasks:
To create a new Portfolio outline, click New Portfolio Outline. CNAV will ask you to enter a name for the new outline. At this point, you also have the option to select a department with which you wish this new outline to be associated. Enter the name and department, then click Submit. CNAV will display the Portfolio Outline edit screen in the right-hand pane. From that screen, you can edit the viewer groups and add sections to the outline. You can also edit, remove, or reorder existing sections.
To edit an existing Portfolio outline, select the outline to be edited from the provided drop-down list. Click Go. CNAV will display the Portfolio Outline edit screen in the right-hand pane. From that screen, you can edit the viewer groups, add sections to the outline, and edit or remove existing sections.
After making all entries and desired changes, click Finished.
