Requests Pending Edit Screen

When CNAV is installed at an institution, that institution determines the record-matching criteria that determine when records from different campus computer systems are considered to match.  The institution also sets a matching percentage that determines when records match beyond what that institution considers to be a reasonable doubt. For example, your campus may decide that when records match the selection criteria within 95%, there is little doubt that they pertain to the same person.

When an account is requested, CNAV collects records from all systems on campus and compares the records that appear to pertain to the same person. If those records match to the specified percentage, CNAV automatically activates the account.  If, however, the match is below the specified percentage, the account is placed On Hold until campus personnel review the data and manually inform CNAV of whether the records match.  This screen allows you to input that decision.

The Percent accuracy drop-down list at the top of this screen allows you to limit the display to records that fall within a specific matching percentage.

The rest of this screen displays all records that match the person requesting the account to the Percent accuracy shown. Each entry contains the following three columns:

Carefully review all information displayed and tick the Match button for each record that does indeed pertain to the person requesting the account. After indicating all matches, select the new account status from the options provided at the bottom of the screen:

After marking all matches and selecting the new account status, click Submit.
