Clicking Campus Tools, Inventory, Duplicate Inventory allows you to duplicate the current inventory instance. CNAV will display the name of the current inventory as part of the menu option:
Duplicate current-inventory-name Inventory
Duplicating an inventory creates an exact copy of the structure of the current inventory simply having a different name. Note that ONLY the inventory structure is copied, not the inventory contents. The end result is an EMPTY inventory having the same properties as the inventory you copied.
When you duplicate the current inventory, you must specify two items:
New name: Enter the new name to be assigned to the "copy" of this inventory.
Inventory at: Select the Institution for which you are creating this inventory from the provided drop-down list.
Click Submit.
