From this screen, you can enter or change the following fields:
Name: Enter the name of the item category being defined or modified. This is the name that will display in the inventory record entry form drop-down list.
Description: Enter a short, but useful, description of this item category.
On Books: Tick the field to indicate that items entered using this category are to be considered on the books for accounting purposes. (Not all inventoried items will be considered on the books. For example, older and non-functional machines retained for spare part use may actually have aged out of depreciation and no longer need to be included in accounting statements.)
After defining or modifying all required fields, click Submit.
