CNAV provides a number of great functions specific to prospective and/or accepted students. For the most part, those functions are presented as channels on the My Stuff page displayed as part of My Cool Stuff. (The exception here is the Candidate Reply Form.)
On the My Stuff page, prospective students can view the following information:
My Admissions Interests: This channel displays a list of your academic and social interests. To modify this list, click the Add/delete interests link.
My Admissions Officers On IM: This channel provides an easy link to admissions officers. Feel free to contact these person(s) via IM to answer your admissions questions.
Students Near Me: This channel lists up to 10 current students at the college who live within 50 miles of your home address. In the event that no students reside near your home (perhaps you've decided to take a year in Antartica?), the college may opt to display a list of default students who are particularly interested in talking with prospective students.
My Campus Contacts: This channel lists your important campus contacts. These contacts may include admissions officers, tour guides, etc. If you have not yet contacted specific persons on campus, a campus representative or admissions officer will be assigned to you.
Students from My High School: This channel lists up to 10 students who graduated from your high school and are currently attending the college. In the event that no students from your high school attend (home schooler?), the college may opt to display a list of default students who are interested in talking with prospective students.
My Alumnae/i Contacts: This channel provides a list of alumni/a living within 50 miles of your home. Note that this list is by no means exhaustive. It also includes only those alumni who have agreed to be contacted by prospective students. In the event that no alumni reside near your home, the college may opt to display a list of default alumni who are particularly interested in talking with prospective students.
CNAV also provides prospective students with two menu bars:
