To add a new page security group, select CNAV Tools, Page Security. CNAV displays the Page Security for Page Groups screen. At Group name, enter the name of the new group you wish to create. To enter a name that includes spaces, please use the underscore (_) character to indicate spaces. Click Add.
CNAV displays the Page Security Group modification screen. On this screen, you can do the following:
Change the page security group name: Modify the name as it appears in the name field and click Update.
Delete this page security group: Click Delete.
Restrict access to this page security group to specific IP addresses: This capability is most useful for restricting access from a public computer lab. To restrict access based on IP address, do the following:
Tick Restrict IP.
Under Allowed IP Ranges, enter the allowable IP addresses. You can enter the addresses individually. For example, if you wanted to define access for a lab with IP addresses 138.234.161.001 to 138.234.161.015, you could Add each of these IP addresses individually. You can also limit access with partial IP specifications. For example, if you enter 138.234.161 (with no period at the end), access will be restricted to the range of IP addresses from 138.234.161.000 to 138.234.161.999. After entering each address specification, click Add.
Restrict access to this page security group to specific ports: To restrict access based on port number, do the following:
Tick Restrict port.
Under Allowed Ports, enter the allowable port numbers. You must enter each port individually and click Add.
Add pages to this page security group: Click Add under the heading Pages. CNAV will display the Add Page screen.
Remove pages from this page security group: Place a tick in the checkbox for each page currently included in this group that you wish to remove. Then, click Remove Checked. CNAV will immediately remove the checked page; confirmation is not required.
Add access groups to this page security group: Click Add under the heading Access Groups. CNAV will display the Add Access Groups screen.
Remove access groups from this page security group: Place a tick in the checkbox for each access group currently listed that you wish to remove. Then, click Remove Checked. CNAV will immediately remove the checked group; confirmation is not required.
