Security Groups

The Security Groups selections available on the Realm Privacy Defaults menu allow you to do the following:

• Add a security group

• List the current security groups

Adding a security group

Although the Realm Privacy Defaults tool bar does provide an Add option under Security Groups, to add a security group you must use the Group tools.  To access the correct tool, select CNAV Tools, Groups, GATL, Realm, and System Groups.

Listing the current security groups

To list the current security groups for which privacy settings can be made, click CNAV Tools, Defaults, Realm Privacy Defaults. In the left-hand pane showing the data security menu options, click on Security Groups, List.  CNAV will display the Privacy Defaults screen that lists all current security groups for which privacy settings can be specified.

This listing contains the following information:

• Name: This column lists the name of each current security group.

The action icons provided on this screen allow you to perform the following tasks for any security group listed:

• Edit. Click the Edit icon to edit an existing security group.  CNAV will display the Edit Data Type screen.

• View.  Click the View icon to view the security group description as it will be displayed.
