CNAV provides an extensive survey system known as 2 Cents. Using the 2 Cents tools and functions, users can enter, modify, and view reports on a wide variety of polls. Those polls include assessments (such as course evaluations), quick surveys (containing only one question), general surveys, and votes. The built-in privacy and authorization systems in CNAV enable 2 Cents to even limit poll respondents to authorized users and thus validate the results of polls taken. Polls can be created for one-time use (useful for voting), or even allow multiple responses to track opinion changes over time.
Within CNAV, polls are created based on templates created by one or more authorized 2 Cents administrators. Authorized users can then create individual polls using those templates. This two-step process reduces repetition and helps to ensure consistency across similar polls. For example, all assessments created using a defined Course evaluation template would contain the same questions, making it far easier to compare results across sections, courses, or even departments.
To access the 2 Cents Tools, click Campus Tools, 2 Cents Mgmt. The 2 Cents Management tools available are as follows:
Admin Tools. These tools provide the following functions:
Reporting tools: These tools allow you to view the results of both completed and in-progress polls. You can select reports based on institution, department, and poll type.
Template viewing tools: These tools allow you to view and/or edit the system templates provided for assessments, quick surveys, general surveys, and votes. From the viewing screens, you can also create new templates.
Instance viewing tools: These tools allow you to view a list of all created polls. The listed information includes poll owner, participation dates, result dates, and publication status.
Templates. The template tools allow you to view and edit current templates, and to create new templates for each type of poll (i.e. assessment, quick survey, survey, or vote).
