Experts are organized by category and within category by topic. For example, the category of History might include the topics World War II, Civil War, Armaments, and Politics.
To add an expertise category, click Campus Tools, Experts Admin. Under Add expert information, select Add a general expertise category. CNAV displays the Add Category screen. On this screen, specify the following information:
Category name: Enter the name you wish to assign to the new category. Make the name as descriptive as possible. This field is required.
Category description: Enter a short, but useful, description of the category being entered.
Topic links: This section lists all of the expertise topics currently defined for your campus. Place a tick in the checkbox for each topic that you wish to associate with this category.
After adding all desired information, click Submit to create the new category. CNAV will display the Select Category screen, including the newly created category.
To clear this form and begin again, click Reset.
To return to the Expert Tools menu, click Back.
