To access the Expert Tools, click Campus Tools, Experts Admin. The Expert Tools allow your institution to maintain an online campus media guide.
Faculty and staff members can announce themselves to be experts in their relevant fields. Alternately, campus administrators can enter information about known experts on their behalf. Once entered, information about campus experts can be obtained in two ways:
Find It Now, Experts: Clicking Find It Now, Experts allows you to browse the media guide information that identifies the resident experts on your campus.
CNAV ID: For faculty and staff members, the CNAV ID screen contains an Expertise field.
Experts are organized by category and within category by topic. For example, the category of History might include the topics World War II, Civil War, Armaments, and Politics. Both categories and topics can be added using the Experts Administration Tools provided under Campus Tools. Only authorized personnel may access the Experts Tools.
The Expert Tools allow you to do the following:
Edit expert information: These tools allow you to modify an expert, a specific topic, or a general category.
Add expert information: These tools allow you to add an expert, a specific expertise topic, or a general expertise category.
