Clicking Campus Tools, Helpdesk, Helpdesk Tools, Administrator Tools Edit Helpdesk Properties allows you to edit the properties of the current Helpdesk. (The current institution and Helpdesk appear on the title bar of this form.)
Use this screen to change one or more of the following Helpdesk properties:
Description: Enter a short description of what the point of this Helpdesk is. Please be specific, especially if you are using CNAV within a multi-campus or consortia environment. You really want to be sure that you can tell from the name and description that you are selecting the correct Helpdesk.
Workers per ticket: Enter the number of worker fields that you want CNAV to display by default on the Helpdesk ticket entry form. This is not the maximum number of workers; you can always add new worker lines as needed. However, this should be the number of workers you expect to see on most tickets, most of the time.
Icon: Use the browse button to select an icon file to be uploaded into CNAV. This icon will represent this new Helpdesk and will appear in the upper-left corner of most screens for this Helpdesk. Helpdesk icons must be 32 x 32 pixels. (If you specify a larger icon graphic, CNAV will automatically scale it to 32 x 32.) Currently, the icon file formats supported are JPG, GIF, and BMP. To delete the icon currently assigned to this Helpdesk, tick the Delete icon checkbox.
Color: Select a color to be assigned to this Helpdesk. The color you select will appear on the left-side of nearly every screen that applies to this Helpdesk. Ideally, you should select a color that is unique for the CNAV installation. To specify the color, use the Color Picker () tool.
Activate?: Tick this checkbox to activate the Helpdesk. Or, remove the tick to mark this Helpdesk as inactive.
Modify the security groups for this Helpdesk by clicking Modify Groups.
To clear this form and start again, click Reset.
After entering all desired changes, click Update.
