HR Directory Tools

Clicking Campus Tools, Human Resources, HR Directory Tools allows you to perform the following two tasks:

Note that only selected users are authorized to actually modify the campus directory. If you are unable to access this function and feel that you need to do so in order to perform your job, please contact your CNAV system administrator.

 

Modifying the campus directory

To modify the campus directory, perform the following five steps:

  1. Download the directory files to your PC for editing. To download the campus directory, click Download or the Download icon. The file will be downloaded as an RTF or PDF document (depending on how it was created).

  2. Disable printing. To disable printing, set the Print status to Off and enter a message to be displayed to those users who attempt to print the directory while printing is disabled. After entering an appropriate message text, click Submit.

  3. Update the directory file. Use whichever word processor or editing tool has been selected by your campus.

  4. Upload the edited directory file back to CNAV. To upload the updated version of the campus directory, enter the name of the file and click Upload. The directory must be uploaded as a PDF or RTF file.

  5. Enable printing again. To allow users to print the updated directory, set the Print status to On. Click Submit.

 

Adding or modifying users approved to print campus directory

Not all CNAV users are authorized to print the campus directory. Only those users designated in this function may do so. To add a new user to the list of users allowed to print the campus directory, click Modify User Copies. CNAV will display a new screen allowing you to add and modify the Approved Users.
