To modify an expert declaration, click Campus Tools, Experts Admin. Under Edit expert information, select Modify an expert.
Two steps are required to modify a general category:
Selecting the expert to be modified
When you select Modify an expert, CNAV displays the Select Expert screen.
The Select Expert screen allows you to select an expert in two ways:
Directly by name: The second half of this screen shows all experts currently declared, listed in alphabetical order. To select an expert directly, simply click the Edit icon next to the name of the expert you wish to modify. (To obtain more information about that expert, you can first click the hyperlinked name to display that expert's CNAV ID screen.)
Alphabetically: If many experts have been declared on your campus, the alphabetical list of experts may become unwieldy. To speed the selection process, click the letter corresponding to the first character in the last name of the expert you wish to modify. The list shown on the second half of the screen will be redisplayed and limited based on the letter you selected. From the shortened list, click the Edit icon next to the name of the expert you wish to modify.
Once you select an expert to modify, CNAV displays the Modify Expert screen for that expert.
Making the expert modifications
On the Modify Expert screen, you can do the following:
Delete expert: To remove this expert from the campus media guide altogether, tick the Delete expert checkbox.
Remove expertise topics from this expert: The top half of the Expertise topic modification section lists all topics with which this expert is currently associated. To remove one or more of these associations, tick the corresponding Unlink expert checkboxes.
Link existing expertise topics to this expert: The bottom half of the Expertise topic modification section lists all topics currently defined for your campus with which this expert is not currently associated. To add an association to one or more of these topics, tick the corresponding Link expert checkboxes.
Add a new topic to this expert: Use this section to add a new topic to both this expert and your campus. Enter the topic name and description. (After adding a new topic in this way, you may wish to add this topic to a general category. To do so, click Campus Tools, Experts Admin, Modify a general category.)
After making all desired changes, click Submit.
To clear this form and start again, click Reset.
To return to the Select Expert screen, click Back.
