Although CNAV will create any number of different types of timesheets, all timesheets within a CNAV installation use the same rounding table. The rounding table specifies how you want CNAV to deal with odd numbers of minutes. For example, assume that the employee starts work at 8:09 am. This can be recorded as 8:09 exactly, rounded down to 8:00, or rounded up to 8:15. The CNAV campus administrator sets the rounding rules to be applied to all timesheets within the timesheet rounding table.
This step in the Timesheet wizard allows you to set that rounding table. You can also access this screen by selecting Campus Tools, Timesheet Tools, Timesheet, Timesheet Tools Timesheet Utilities, Rounding.
You can set the rounding table in two ways:
By specifying rounding values individually for each minute
By using the Round to nearest minute function
To specify rounding values individually, enter the value to be added or subtracted to each Minute in the What to Add field. (To subtract a value, that is, round down, enter a negative number.)
To specify all rounding values at once, use the Round to nearest minute function instead. In this field, enter the "minutes" to which you wish all values to be rounded. For example, to have all times rounded to the quarter hour, enter 15. Click Round. CNAV will redisplay the Rounding screen showing the appropriate What to Add values needed to achieve the rounded value you entered.
