Unlike the Journal, which does not allow you to edit entries after submittal, you can use the Planner editing tools to enter new items or modify existing items in your Planner.
CNAV displays the Planner Item edit screen anytime you click the Edit icon next to an existing item on the Planner screen. CNAV also displays this screen after you select an item type when you opt to Add Item.
To enter a new Planner entry, specify the following fields:
Name: Enter the name you wish to assign to the new item. By default, CNAV uses the name you entered on the previous screen. This is a required field.
Description: Enter a short paragraph or two that describe the item. You can be as cryptic or explanatory here as you want. Obviously, the better your description here, however, the more useful your Planner will be in the long run.
Priority: Select the appropriate priority code from the drop-down list. The options are Urgent (for example, this is a core requirement that you must have to graduate) and Low-priority (you're planning to attend this concert unless there's a good movie on TV). This is a required field.
Status: Select the appropriate status code from the drop-down list. The possible values are P (In Progress), C (Completed) , H (On Hold), and N (Not Yet Begun). This is a required field.
Term: Select the appropriate term from the drop-down list. First semester, first year is Term 1; Second semester, first year is Term 2, First semester, Sophomore year is Term 3, etc. This is a required field.
Created by: This display-only field lists the name of the person who created this item and the date and time of creation. For more information about the person listed here, click the hyperlinked user name to display this person's User ID screen.
Last modified by: This display-only field lists the name of the person who last modified this item and the date and time of that modification. For more information about the person listed here, click the hyperlinked user name to display this person's User ID screen.
To clear this form and start again, click Reset.
After making all desired entries or corrections, click Submit.
