Create New Inventory System

Clicking Campus Tools, Inventory, Create Inventory System allows you to create a new inventory instance.

Only the Inventory system administrator can create a new inventory. However, once the inventory is created, the Inventory administrator can set the contents and properties of the new inventory by using the Inventory Administrator Tools.

This is basically the same screen that appears when you select to edit the properties of a current inventory. However, when you are editing an existing inventory, the current institution and inventory name appear on the title bar of this form. When you are creating a new inventory, only the institution name appears because you have not yet named the inventory.

When creating a new inventory, enter the following inventory properties:

After entering all desired changes, click Submit.

Note that you can go back and change many of these items later. Or, you could leave many of these items to be completed by the inventory administrator(s). However, you MUST specify the following three items at this point:
